It’s been a long journey right from the time we launched 30 years ago with Divyam Exports, all the way to date. Over the years, we have evolved as a brand, scaling and specializing in many aspects of the business. Throughout our time, we have always been open to learning as much as we can about the trade, which has enabled us to create a niche for ourselves.
Our name is now synonymous when it comes to casual clothing, festive wear and wedding attire. The fabrics are also used to create home-based products such as curtains, upholstery and even tapestry. We believe in providing garments directly to our users, eliminating middlemen and offering unmatched quality at affordable prices. This straightforward and transparent way of doing business has brought us to fulfil materials to over 2500 boutiques across the country, and even export designer fabric online to 25 countries the world over.
Our journey, in its truest sense and form, is far from over, although it started in 1986 in a Saree store in Surat.
Saree store opened in Surat by B. C. Jainaround a time where the textile industry only just started coming together in the country.
One of our newly created products, the tissue fabric, was very well received and grew high in demand. It was based on a style that originated in Banaras.
Continuing to leave our mark, we released a new concept and machinery for the ‘crush’ effect on thetissue fabric which was manufactured in one-tenth the price of what it was available at back then. This was widely appreciated and accepted by the industry and even exported to the UAE.
With an increase in production for what became our signature ‘crush’ effect, there was an increase in demand for thedyeing process as well. With the lack of infrastructure to meet our demands, we decided to start our own dyeing unit, which gave us a massive competitive edge. It wasn’t long before we had a strong foothold in the dyeing sector as well.
Always looking to innovate, we started a new line of jacquard fabrics. We also expanded the business by installing 150 new machines and setting up an Export house that included a quality check department, team of designers and sales office for our international clients.
Having a keen eye for intricate details, we further diversifiedinto embroidered fabrics with a team of our best designers who were focussed on creating unique techniques and designs.
In two years, our initial setup of 30 embroidered fabric machines augmented into 2 factoriesholding a total of 95 machines. The international demand grew exponentially to over 20 countries as we tied up with massive retail chains across South Asia and Europe.
Our highest-grossing year yet, we proudlyincreased our machinery to 200 units that help serve over 2500 clients.
With 30 quality checks in place and the demand for ourproducts being higher than ever, today our fabrics are supplied to over 1000 boutiques across the country.
